💨 “My nails need to breathe…”
Heard that before? 😅
Let’s clear this up once and for all:
Nails don’t breathe.
They’re not little lungs on your fingers.
Natural nails are made of keratin – a type of protein, just like your hair.
They don’t take in oxygen from the air.
All the nutrients and oxygen your nails need come from the bloodstream – from inside your body, not outside.
So when someone says they’re taking a break
“to let their nails breathe”
it usually just means their nails are damaged, dry,
or over-filed.
But that’s not the gel’s fault
that’s down to bad technique or improper removal. 💅
💡 With proper application and removal, your nails can stay healthy and strong even with gel or BIAB on all the time.

And you know what?
I broke. 💔
Because no quote, no motivational podcast
ever hit me like this one did.
For a moment, I saw the little girl I once was.
Scared. Sensitive. Too kind.
Trying to be brave in a world that didn’t always feel safe.
And then… I saw her again.
But older. Stronger.
A girl who left her country.
Started over from scratch.
On her own.
No backup. No safety net.
Everything I’ve built
every step, every lesson, every version of me
was built from the ground up.
With 100% heart.
100% effort.
And not a single shortcut.
And no …it wasn’t always pretty.
It wasn’t always easy.
In fact, it was hard. So hard.
I failed more than once.
I’ve been let down, and I’ve let myself down too…
There were days I crawled.
Days I moved on my knees …not because I wanted to,
but because that’s what it took to keep going.
But no matter what…
I kept moving forward. Always.
And you know what else?
Through everything I’ve been through
through all the chaos, all the setbacks,
through bulimia that tore me into pieces and left me empty…
Through all the pain that knocked me down
not once, not twice, but over and over again…
I discovered something.
💔 I still love helping people.
Even when it’s not appreciated.
Even when people don’t see the effort behind it.
I’ll still be here.
Still giving.
Still lifting.
Still believing in women who forgot how to believe in themselves.
Even if I have to wear a mask some days.
